IMSciences Scholarships / Grants / Financial Aid Session 2023-2027

IMSciences has been continuously working alongside international development organizations, corporate sector and donor agencies to provide equal higher education opportunities to the marginalized communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa specifically and the country at large. The aim of strengthening Institute in resource generation is to facilitate and meet the increased expectations of financially constrained but talented current and prospective students of the Institute. The Institute encourages such students by providing real time financial aid opportunities in quality higher education and enables them with updated skills and knowledge to play their role in the regional and national development of our country.

Last year, IMSciences funded a significant number of students who had financial constraints and were unable to continue their education. In Financial Year 2022-23, approximately a total of 1,641 students which is 56.58 % of the total strength, has been provided financial support worth Rs. 237.821/- Million, in 20 different Fully Funded Need and Merit Based Scholarship Programs, Merit Based Scholarships for Talented Students, Interest Free Student Loans, Siblings Fee Rebate, Work Study Programs and Global Cultural Exchange Programs.

The following is the detail of all financial aid / scholarship programs which have been operational at IMSciences for the financially needy and talented students. It is to be noted that all the scholarship programs announcements are subject to the approval of donors. Please also note that students can apply to multiple scholarships but can avail only one scholarship at one time, until and unless explicitly mentioned by donors.

(The Scholarship and Financial Aid Application Forms for all Donor-Based Scholarships, including IMSciences Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Ex-FATA), CMEEF, HEC, CEIF, Bank of Khyber, and KPEF Need-Based Merit Scholarship Programs, will be available to students both online and in hard copy after their admission is confirmed, classes have commenced at the Institute, and scholarship seats have been approved by the respective donors).

IMSciences Fully Funded Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Ex-FATA) Scholarship Program for Undergraduate and Graduate Level

Based on the development needs of the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, IMSciences has achieved a significant milestone with the establishment of the IMSciences FATA Scholarship Program in cooperation with the FATA Secretariat, Peshawar. This program is designed to ensure equal access to education for students from the former FATA, offering fully funded scholarships for various academic levels at IMSciences. The program provides a total of twenty-five (25) scholarships: 13 for Undergraduate Programs, 8 for MBA, and 4 for MS Level Degree Programs. These scholarships cover full tuition fees and provide a monthly stipend for transportation, accommodation, books, and incidental expenses throughout the duration of the studies.

Chief Minister Education Endowment Fund (CMEEF) Merit and Need Based Scholarships for Undergraduate Level (BBA)

Under the supervision of the Higher Education Department (HED) of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) has been proudly selected as one of the ten implementing partner institutions in fields such as management, medical, engineering, information technology, and social sciences. Four seats are available for this scholarship program, which will cover full tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 to assist with books, travel, and incidental expenses for the entire duration of the recipients’ studies at IMSciences. These scholarships are contingent upon approval from the HED – Government of KP.

HEC Need Based Merit Scholarship Program in all Undergraduate Programs
(4 Years Degree Programs)

Under the supervision of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), this Fully Funded Need-Based Merit Scholarship Program is designed to support study programs with the highest marketability in Pakistan’s corporate sector. It aims to provide equal opportunities to talented students from marginalized areas who are unable to pursue higher education due to financial constraints. A total of twenty-five (25) fully funded scholarships are available under this scheme. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend for accommodation, books, travel, and incidental expenses for the entire duration of study at IMSciences. These scholarships are subject to HEC approval and the availability of funds.

HEC Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the Students of Gilgit – Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities / Institutions

The main aim of the program is to provide scholarships to the students from GB to equip the youth with the latest education for upcoming challenges. Gilgit Baltistan is a critically important area and is the terminal point of CPEC road whereas the Gawadar is on the other end. The program will provide financial assistance to the students to pursue their higher studies in all the top Public Sector universities / institutions of Pakistan for the development of their area and the country.
Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been endeavoring to improve quality, access, affordability, and equity of tertiary education to the youth of GB. To provide learning opportunities and better job opportunities to the youth of less privileged areas, the districts of GB are significantly important due to their location, especially with China and central Asian states. This scholarship program is supervised and managed by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The Bank of Khyber (BoK) and CEIF Fully Funded Need Based Merit Scholarship Program for MS Islamic Business and Finance

The Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) at IMSciences and the Bank of Khyber (BoK) has signed an agreement to provide fully funded need based merit scholarships to meritorious but financially needy and deserving students of MS Islamic Business and finance. These scholarships will specifically focus on students having domicile of newly merged districts of KP as well as Madaris Students having Alamiya Degree from any recognized board. The award covers full tuition fee support and living expenses for hostel accommodation for the mentioned duration.

IMSciences Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) Need Based Merit Scholarship Program for MS Islamic Business and Finance

The Center for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) at IMSciences has generously announced to award hundred (100 %) tuition fee need based merit scholarships to meritorious but financially needy and deserving students of MS Islamic Business and Finance. The award covers full tuition fee support in the entire degree duration.

IMSciences Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) Merit Scholarship Program for BBA Islamic Banking and Finance

The Center for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) at IMSciences is offering a total of ten (10) merit based scholarships in BBA Islamic Banking and Finance. The scholarship will cover a total of four (4) specialization courses @ Rs. 10,000/- per course. The top ten highest GPA holders in BBA Islamic Banking and Finance will avail these meritorious scholarships.

Khybar pakhtookhwa education fundation updated

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Level (04 Years) and Graduate Level (02 Years Masters/MS)

In cooperation with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, these scholarships are awarded based on merit and affordability. The grant provides Rs. 150,000 per annum for tuition fee support. The scholarship is renewable for the second year contingent upon satisfactory academic performance. 8 seats in total are available: 4 for undergraduate studies and 4 for MS and MBA programs. Only applicants domiciled in KP (including Newly Merged Districts) are eligible to apply. 50% of the scholarship seats are reserved for female students. These scholarships are subject to approval from KPEF – Government of KP.

Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) Scholarship Program for Students of Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management (2 years)

In collaboration with the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, Government of Pakistan, these scholarships are awarded to students on merit-cum need base enrolled in Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management offered by Hashoo School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at IMSciences. The grant covers support for admission fees, practical charges, annual fees, and semester tuition fees. The award is renewable for the second year contingent upon satisfactory academic performance, with students required to maintain a minimum academic result of 65% and attendance of 75%. These scholarships are subject to approval from PEEF – Government of Pakistan.

HEC Allama Muhammad Iqbal Fully Funded Scholarships for Afghan Students

The Government of Pakistan is offering fully funded scholarships to Afghan youth to enhance their capacity through quality education. This initiative will benefit 4500 scholars in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Management, Computer Science, etc., at undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels in public sector institutes. The aim of this scheme is to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan and promote people-to-people contacts between the two neighboring states. Each of the 4500 Afghan scholarships covers living allowance, book allowance, hostel dues, and university tuition fees.

HEC - DAAD EFFAL Scholarship for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers fully funded Master’s scholarships for Afghan refugees in Pakistan. This prestigious program, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany, aims to foster academic and scientific advancement. It provides Afghan refugees with the opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in any discipline at HEC-recognized universities in Pakistan. The scholarship seeks to develop academic and professional leaders who can contribute regionally and globally. The continuation of the scholarships is contingent upon the provision of funds.

Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative Fund (DAFI) for Afghan Refugee Students in all Undergraduate Programs (4 Years Degree Programs)

Inspire Pakistan is implementing Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative Fund (DAFI) in partnership with UNHCR since 2014 throughout Pakistan, under which Refugee students studying in tertiary institutions in Pakistan receive scholarships. The scholarship amount covers their tuition fee, books and travelling allowance. DAFI scholarships are awarded for a maximum of four years of study at bachelor or equivalent degree levels in IMSciences, Peshawar. Eligible students will have to apply to Inspire Pakistan through their prescribed application form after their call for applications.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Need Based Merit Scholarships

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) is providing Financial Assistance to poor deserving students having good academic track record and studying on regular basis in Government Universities / Institutes. Students with monthly family income of Rs. 15,000/- and are not dependent on Govt Servant are eligible for this program. PBM provides to Rs. 100,000/- per annum per family as education assistance, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Eligible students will have to apply in the District Zakat Office of the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

IMSciences Trust Semester Wise Merit Scholarships

These scholarships are purely based on merit and are granted to the most intelligent students of IMSciences who demonstrate their intellectual capabilities and achieve the maximum GPA in respective semesters. These scholarships are granted in all semesters at undergraduate and Graduate level programs.

IMSciences Merit Based Partial Scholarships

The Institute offers a partial scholarship to 10% of students admitted to the following programs: BBA, BCS, BS Software Engineering, BS Social Sciences, BS Economics, BS (A&F), BS Data Science, BS English, BS Psychology, and MBA (2 years). For the MBA (2 years) program, 5% of these scholarship seats are reserved for the institute’s own students/graduates, with the remaining 5% awarded to other students. Scholarship recipients receive a fee reduction ranging from 65% to 75%. The scholarships are renewable for the duration of the program. The Admission Office will shortlist students based on the Aggregate Merit List and notify successful candidates accordingly.

IMSciences Alumni 50 % Tuition Fee Waiver in all MS/MBA and PhD Level Programs

Based on the directives of the Director IMSciences Peshawar, all those applicants who are also alumni of the Institute, will be eligible for fifty (50) percent tuition fee waiver in all eight (8) MS level programs i.e. MS Management, MS Project Management, MS Computer Science, MS Data Science, MS Economics, MS Islamic Banking & Finance, MS Development Studies and MS Governance & Public Policy.

IMSciences Inflationary Rebate / Waiver of 25% Tuition Fee in all MS Level Programs

Based on the directives of the Director IMSciences Peshawar, keeping in view the high inflation in the economy, all applicants will be eligible for twenty five (25 %) percent tuition fee waiver in all all eight (8) MS level programs i.e. MS Management, MS Project Management, MS Computer Science, MS Data Science, MS Economics, MS Islamic Banking & Finance, MS Development Studies and MS Governance & Public Policy as well as PhD level degree programs.

IMSciences Tuition Fee Waiver in all MS Level Programs

IMSciences Peshawar introduced a new merit based partial tuition fee waiver especially for students of MS Level Degree Programs. These scholarship awards are available in all MS Level Degree Programs i.e. MS Management, MS Project Management, MS Computer Science, MS Data Science, MS Economics, MS Islamic Banking & Finance, MS Development Studies and MS Governance & Public Policy. Twenty (20) % Fee Waiver will be provided to top 40 % students in all three semesters. These meritorious awards are with subject to approval from the competent authority.

Dr. Hidayatullah Need Based Merit Scholarships

This scholarship program is established and funded by the faculty and staff members of IMSciences for the benefit of those financially needy students who face financial hindrances in the middle or final stages of their study program. Under this financial aid program, IMSciences has successfully facilitated a total of One Hundred and Twenty Four (124) such students from different disciplines and backgrounds for the completion of their higher education studies in IMSciences. More than 6.2 Million Rupees have been distributed among selected students.

IMSciences Sibling / Brother-Sister 50 % Tuition Fee Rebate

Through this program, IMSciences offers 50% fee rebate to students if their brother/sister study at IMSciences. Students have to apply each semester to avail this fee rebate.

Workers Welfare Board Directorate of Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Scholarship Program for All Study Programs

This program is administered by Workers Welfare Board, Directorate of Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the benefit of those students whose parents are registered labor employees in industrial sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The scholarship covers full tuition fee support and other charges including transport, accommodation, library and computer lab charges.

Punjab Education Endowment Fund – Scholarships for other provinces

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has allocated special scholarship quotas for talented and needy students of other provinces, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan and Islamabad Capital Territory. These scholarships are awarded to the pass outs of public sector institutions to pursue Intermediate, Graduation and Master’s level education in their respective province or any other educational institution of Pakistan.

Shaheen Excellence Award and Fellowship Scheme

Shaheen Excellence Award of Rs. 50,000/- (one time) will be awarded to Sons / Daughters of Ex / Servicing PAF Personnel securing first position in final examination from any HSSC Board or HEC recognized universities in Pakistan in all recognized disciplines. While Shaheen Fellowship Scheme is for higher education in any disciplines at Bachelor level & Master level studies. The fellowship scheme started in year 1997. Ihsan Trust Financial Assistance Program for Higher Education

One of the major focuses of the trust is in the domain of providing Qarz-e-Hasna (Interest free loan) for Education to the needy and deserving students of major and leading universities of Pakistan. Through this scheme the Ihsan Trust bears the educational expenses of the students on purely “Need cum Merit” basis in order to enable them to complete their Higher Education. The amount of Qarz-e-Hasna sanctioned to the selected student depends on his/her need and eligibility. During the study period, the student has to pay a nominal, token repayment amount (depending upon the financial position of the candidates, his/her parents/guardians monthly income) to the Ihsan Trust as repayment.
